September 2021
Buddhist Astrology September
ARIES (March 21 – April 19)
This month starts slowly but with a lot of thoughts. Reason is Mercury will be opposite all month and that stimulates your communication skills and intellect. The last two weeks has Mars and the Sun conjunct to give you a big boost of energy. So think about what is good to accomplish in the first two weeks and dedicate yourself to that positive action in the last two weeks. You have the energy, use it well.
Aries Buddhists love to be motivators. This month practice the basics of meditation: mindfulness and awareness. Whether its astrology or a situation at work, it is all equally managed if you have these qualities in daily activity.
TAURUS (April 20 May 20)
This month you have Uranus moving forward and coming into an opposition with Venus in the last weeks. Uranus gives you a nice level of spontaneity, but it needs to be controlled. Do not think that just because you feel liberated you can do anything. This is important as the last two weeks have a high level of sensuality, which could lead you astray. So have your ethics in place and express that as a liberated sense of love for all sentient beings. Your Bodhicitta will keep you virtuous.
Taurus Buddhists love to be grounded and practical. This month act with positive intentions. Cultivate a strong beneficial intention each morning and let it spontaneously manifest throughout the day.
GEMINI (May 21 – June 20)
This month you have no direct planetary influence. The Sun is square to Gemini. This does not have to be problematic; it is possible to derive benefit from those aspects. Recognize that frustration helps you practice patience. Especially when you have high expectations. His Holiness the Dalai Lama said desires are not to be completely rejected. We have to mindfully move them in positive directions. During this time know that your desires might be slow in manifesting, but they will come if you are patient.
Gemini Buddhists are quick on their intellectual feet. This month slow down and contemplate in a constructive manner on the meaning of your life. The motive should be more than just, “I want to be happy.”
CANCER (June 21 – July 22)
This month the Sun and Mars will come well aspected to Cancer, and so it is a good time to be active and get ready for the winter months. Slow down a little in the first weeks of September, be thoughtful of what you are doing. There is no need to rush and then get frustrated. As the month continues things will improve and you will find the energy to accomplish all your desires.
Cancer Buddhists normally work with feelings. This month be reflective and patient. Patience is a wonderful virtue. It comes from understanding that aggression is not the best way to resolve issues. Go slowly and your goals will be attained.
LEO (July 23 – August 22)
This month Jupiter and Saturn run in opposition to Leo. That can mean one is influenced to be motivated with a strong sense of determination. Sometimes astrologers put emphasis on the thoughts and ideas generated by planetary aspects, but as Buddhists we put emphasis on motivation first. If the motive is good the thoughts and communication are moved in the right direction. Nowadays there is substantial evidence that altruism bestows deep and long-lasting satisfaction for those who develop it. Therefore, think about your motive and the positive effects will come naturally.
Leo Buddhists like to be motivators. This month use your mind in constructive contemplations on the nature of existence and that our motive creates our future, this life, and the ones beyond that.
VIRGO (August 23 – September 22)
This is the birthday month, and the Sun and Mars are stimulating you. It is a stimulation of fortitude and energy. Go slowly as you have ample capacity. Going slowly ensures that actions and thoughts are done skillfully. Do not forget to send a card to your parents to thank them for this rebirth. If they have passed away, then do a meditation in deep appreciation of the rebirth they gave you. We are totally, 100% interdependent with the things that create us, so apply your Bodhicitta to all that you have a relationship with and try to be of benefit.
Virgo Buddhists do things in an orderly manner. This month slow down and use the power of your diligence and energy to help make good decisions. Let activities unfold as time and space manifests.
LIBRA (September 23 – October 22)
This month you should be the embodiment of good contemplations. This is very strong at the beginning of the month as Mercury and Venus transit through Libra. As the month continues, the Sun and Mars will move forward and make life very energetic. As a meditator your wisdom can protect you from all unwanted stress. Therefore, start the month with affectionate contemplativeness and conclude it with good actions. As this is your birthday month, do not forget to send a card to your parents to thank them for this rebirth. If they have passed away, then do a meditation in deep appreciation of the rebirth they gave you.
Libra Buddhists keep life in balance. Balance means harmony. Therefore, know the middle point between activity and non-activity. Balance manifests with sensitivity and grace.
SCORPIO (October 23 – November 21)
This month you have Venus entering Scorpio and making things lovely. Uranus will move into an opposition with Venus in the last weeks though. Uranus gives you a nice level of spontaneity, but it needs to be controlled. Do not think that just because you feel liberated you can do anything. This is important as the last two weeks have a high level of sensuality, which could lead you astray. So have your ethics in place and express that aspect as a liberated sense of love for all sentient beings. Your Bodhicitta will keep you virtuous.
Scorpio Buddhists are passionate. This month slow down and enjoy the end of the summer. See the cycles of the seasons as representative of the cycle of life. There is a time for growth and a time for contemplation. Now is the time to express your love, but carefully.
SAGITTARIUS (November 22 – December 21)
This month you have no direct planetary influence. The Sun and Mars are square to Sagittarius though and this could be a mixed bag of benefit and frustration. You can derive benefit from this aspect if you are skillful. Saturn and Jupiter are well positioned to Sagittarius, and it always flourishes if one meditates regularly. This may help you deal with errant desires that agitate you. Have a quiet September and be reflective of the actions of the past and what activities you might consider useful for the future.
Sagittarius Buddhists are inspired individuals. This month it is better to let your motivations be simple and uncomplicated. You tend to get easily frustrated if you try to do too much. Slow down and relax. Frustration comes from inappropriate expectations. A mind with few thoughts is often a mind with contentment.
CAPRICORN (December 22 – January 19)
This month you have Pluto giving you a lot of stimulation. It will the whole month. Be a little careful of pushing too hard to see something manifest. There are two causes for feeling frustrated. One is a Venus aspect pushing you to chase desires and the other is an aspect with Mercury at the end of the month, making you grumpy. So go slowly and initiate activities that are not demanding on your time and energy.
Capricorn Buddhists reflect and contemplate on decisions. Meditate and be mindfully aware of your interdependence with life, family and friends. This is a good meditation as it generates appreciation of others and the decision to be a positive force in whatever you do.
AQUARIUS (January 20 – February 18)
This month is characterized by enthusiasm and skill. It is a good time to enjoy the end of the summer and reflect on the activities you wish to accomplish for the fall season. By these reflections, motivate yourself to do good things. All month you have great astrology to do good actions. Use your morning meditations to motivate and set the rest of the day in a positive context. Life is created by our motivations, so get them well organized and life will be more manageable.
Aquarius Buddhists are sociable beings. This month your energy is great. Allow yourself to think about the inconceivable. Good month to meditate on the “May all Sentient Beings have happiness and its causes”.
PISCES (February 19 – March 20)
This month has a sense of excitement but slowly things seem to peter out. The Sun and Mars sit in opposition for the first part of the month. This can mean your character feels strong and impulsive. Basically, you will feel pressure to chase after desires. Be wise in what you wish to accomplish, and you can avoid dissatisfaction. Chasing desires is not the way to be happy. Offering happiness to others is much more satisfying. Naturally, balance this with wisdom, you do not want to burn out because of inappropriate decisions.
Pisces Buddhists are sensitive and introspective. This month your sensitivity is a bit agitated. Better to slow down. It might seem difficult at first but as you become familiar with mindful action it gets easier and easier maintain.
