ARIES (March 21 – April 19)

This month starts out slowly as there are no planets in Aries.  This will change quickly though as Mercury and Venus will come enter Aries.  That means intelligence and affection abound.  It is the end of the summer and so if you are socializing, you will be a center of attention.  As we are primarily Buddhist, just make sure you are exemplifying virtue, wisdom and compassion.  Then being the center of attention has quality and merit.

Aries Buddhists love to be motivators.  This month you can spread your wings and soar in the space of reality.  Use your good will and communication skills to share good feelings.  Your good intensions will be obvious to all.

TAURUS (April 20 May 20)
This month Uranus is moving quietly through Taurus.  What is good is there are no complicating aspects to Uranus all month.  Therefore, the spontaneous energy of Uranus will inspire you nicely.  Use your Bodhicitta motivation to share this energy with others.  That makes the influence beneficial.  Your sense of humor should be very functional this month, be playful in a non-harmful manner.

Taurus Buddhists love to be grounded and practical.  This month let life express itself without reservations.  Of course, be virtuous and then let the spontaneity express itself.

GEMINI (May 21 – June 20)
This month you also have no direct planetary influence, but the Sun, Mercury, Mars and Venus are square to Gemini for a few weeks.  Slow down, don’t have many expectations and have a quiet September.  Be reflective of the activities of the past and think of the activities you might consider useful for the future.  These are not bad aspects, they just require you be more careful of what you aspire to accomplish.   This will change in the last ten days of September and you will feel more peaceful.

Gemini Buddhists are quick on their intellectual feet.  This month slow down and contemplate in a constructive manner on the meaning of your life.

CANCER (June 21 – July 22)
This month Saturn and Pluto are opposite Cancer and so it is a good time to be quiet and meditative.  This effect will be stronger in the last two weeks as Venus and Mercury will run square to both Cancer and Saturn Pluto.  Slow down at this time as you might push for something to be completed too quickly.  There is no need to rush your projects, do them slowly and carefully and you will have success.   Remember, astrology is only an influence, our awareness, wisdom and compassion are the real creators of our life.

Cancer Buddhists normally work with feelings.  This month be reflective and patient.  Patience is a wonderful virtue.  It comes from understanding that aggression is not the best way to resolve issues.  Go slowly and your goals will be attained.

LEO (July 23 – August 22)
This month Leo is empty of planets.  The second two weeks this will change as Mercury and Venus will be well aspected to Leo.  That increases affection and communication skills.  Use those influences with your Bodhicitta motivation and you have many opportunities for success.  Nowadays there is substantial evidence that altruism bestows deep and long-lasting satisfaction for those who develop it.  You have the energy to do something, so do it for altruistic reasons.

Leo Buddhists like to be motivators.  This month you have vision that guides activity.  Keep an eye on your dream life, some inspirational imagery could come from that quarter.

VIRGO (August 23 – September 22)

This is the birthday month and the Sun, Mars, Venus and Mercury are stimulating you.  It is a stimulation of self-confidence, love, intelligence and power.  Go slowly as you have ample capacity.  Going slowly ensures that actions and thoughts are done skillfully.   Don’t forget to send a card to your parents to thank them for this rebirth.  If they have passed away, then do a meditation in deep appreciation of this rebirth.  Use these beneficial influences to enhance your Dharma practice.  When it is sunny weather, make hay!

Virgo Buddhists do things in an orderly manner.  This month slow down and use the power available to you to help make good decisions.  Let activities unfold as time and space manifests.

LIBRA (September 23 – October 22)
This month you should be the embodiment of love and intelligent communication.  This is very strong in the last two weeks of the month as Venus and Mercury are entering Libra.   Don’t forget to send a card to your parents to thank them for this rebirth.  If they have passed away, then do a meditation in deep appreciation of this rebirth.  Use these beneficial influences to enhance your Dharma practice.  When it is sunny weather, make hay!

Libra Buddhists keep life in balance.  Balance means harmony.  Therefore, know the middle point between activity and non-activity.  Balance manifests with sensitivity and grace.

SCORPIO (October 23 – November 21)
This month you have the Sun, Mars, Mercury, Venus, Saturn and Pluto running well aspected to Scorpio.  The stimulation will last for two weeks and then several of the planets will move out of aspect.  Therefore, use the beneficial effect in your Dharma practice.  Astrology is not the creator of our existence, but it does influence us.  So, when there are good aspects, use them to help your practice.   That is skillful means!

Scorpio Buddhists are passionate.  This month slow down and enjoy the end of the summer.  See the cycles of the seasons as representative of the cycle of life.  There is a time for growth and a time for contemplation.  Now is the time to express the ripening effects of your Dharma practice.

SAGITTARIUS (November 22 – December 21)
This month you have lots of energy as Jupiter is in Sagittarius – but be careful.  The Sun, Mars, Mercury and Venus are square to Jupiter and Sagittarius.  This could be a mixed bag of benefit and frustration.  You can derive benefit from this aspect if you are skillful.  The Sun and Mars’s influence benefits if one meditates regularly and controls the energy.  Be reflective of the activities you wish to accomplish and execute them skillfully.  If you are in a rush, there is a potential for many frustrations.  The reason is you are not thinking through fully the things you wish to do.  Be intelligent and you can have success.

Sagittarius Buddhists are inspired individuals.  This month it is better to let your motivations be simple and uncomplicated.  You tend to get easily frustrated if you try to do too much.  Slow down and relax.  Frustration comes from inappropriate expectations.  A mind with few thoughts is often a mind with contentment.

CAPRICORN (December 22 – January 19)

This month you have Pluto and Saturn giving you lot of stimulation.  Be careful of pushing too hard to see something manifest.  There are two causes for feeling frustrated.  One is the Saturn aspect making you too serious and the other is a square of Venus and Mercury at the end of the month.  Go slowly and initiate activities that are not demanding on your time and energy.  These aspects are only an influence, use your mindfulness and you will suffer few inconveniences.

Capricorn Buddhists reflect and contemplate on decisions.  Meditate and be mindfully aware of your interdependence with life, family and friends.  This is a good meditation as it generates appreciation of others and the decision to be a positive force in whatever you do.

AQUARIUS (January 20 – February 18)
This month you also have no direct planetary influence.  Uranus is square to Aquarius though, but it is possible to derive benefit from that.  Slow down, don’t have many expectations.  The last two weeks Mercury and Venus will stimulate you from Libra, that means intelligence and affection enter the picture.  So if you are mindful and virtuous, you will do fine.  Impulsive activities are a cause of problems, so avoid them.

Aquarius Buddhists are sociable beings.  This month meditate on the nature of reality.  Realize all is interdependent and empty of self-existence.  A good month to meditate on the “void”.

PISCES (February 19 – March 20)
This month is characterized by visions and daydreams.  It is a good time to relax, enjoy the fall season and reflect on the activities of the summer.  Be quiet and mindful.  Your dream life may increase if you turn your attention to deeper psychological issues.  Fantasies about some perfect situation could distract you though, so remember this is samsara and it is hard to make it perfect.

Pisces Buddhists are sensitive and introspective.  This month your sensitivity is strong.  Better to slow down.  It might seem difficult at first but as you become familiar with mindful action and speech it gets easier and easier to maintain. When you are going more slowly you can have better awareness and sensitivity of what is happening around you.
