ARIES (March 21 – April 19)
This month has things quieter for you. Aries is empty of planets but come September 18 the Sun and Mercury will come opposite to Aries. That is also well aspected by Mars, so expect an energizing end to September. It means your mind, energy and presence are powerful. Use them skillfully.
Aries Buddhists love to be motivators. This month your enthusiasm will grow day by day as the month continues. Be mindful of a good attitude and where you place your attention. That guarantees a good month.
TAURUS (April 20 May 20)
This month Uranus is starting its transit through Taurus. That can be beneficial if you wish changes in your life. Be careful though as Mars squares Uranus for the whole 30 days of September. That means changes might appear as accidents or surprises. Don’t be aggressive or demanding this month. You will feel you want things to go quickly but the situation may not warrant that. Manage your aggressive impulses.
Taurus Buddhists love to be grounded and practical. This month do what is in front of you directly. It is a great time to do practical things that involve physical activity. That way you can expend some of the power you feel.
GEMINI (May 21 – June 20)
It is a good month to go slowly. The good news is the Sun and Mercury will be well aspected to Gemini in the last weeks of September. This will benefit your mind and presence in situations. There is also a good aspect from Mars in the last weeks, so you may be able to accomplish some special tasks. It is a good month, just be mindful of what you focus on, make it virtuous.
Gemini Buddhists are quick on their intellectual feet. This month think about things and make it meaningful. Don’t jump around too much, be peacefully thoughtful.
CANCER (June 21 – July 22)
A great month to do simple things. The Sun and Mercury will be beneficially aspected from Virgo in the first weeks of September. Life is influenced by many factors and this particular month is beneficial for the expression of spiritual insights. The insights you gain in the first week may help you in the following weeks of the month. You are a feeling-based sign and so slowing down and reflecting on your life would be good.
Cancer Buddhists normally work with feelings. This month be reflective and patient. Patience is a wonderful virtue. It increases all virtuous activity and stabilizes existing positive feelings.
LEO (July 23 – August 22)
This month it is good to focus your enthusiasm in skillful ways. The reason is Mars and Uranus are opposite and square to Leo. Your mind and spirit are strong but you may rush into things unprepared. This effect will last all month and so it is important you are mindful of what you decide to do and that you do it carefully. Don’t be in a rush.
Leo Buddhists like to be motivators. This month organize your motive in the first weeks and then manage your activities with mindfulness in the last weeks.
VIRGO (August 23 – September 22)
This month is the birthday month. Send gifts to your parents, they deserve them. The ritual of birthdays is all backwards. Our existence is due to the support from our parents and all those before them. Without parents we don’t have a rebirth. Show your respect and appreciation. Even if your parents are not nice, they still can receive a thank you. Intelligence is your middle name this month. The Sun and Mercury are stimulating you. It is your birthday month but that means you must slow down enough to let it happen. For example, don’t miss appointments, it might be a surprise party for you. There is a tendency to rush right by something and miss a wonderful opportunity to have fun.
Virgo Buddhists do things in an orderly manner. This month slow down and don’t try to get everything done in the first week of fall. Let activities unfold as time and space avail themselves.
LIBRA (September 23 – October 22)
This month is the birthday month. Send gifts to your parents, they deserve them. The ritual of birthdays is all backwards. Therefore read, study and share the dharma you understand and practice. It is a good intellectual month for you.
Libra Buddhists keep life in balance. Balance can mean expressing grace, so therefore know the middle point between over-activity and non-activity. It is a very good month to share your positive ideas.
SCORPIO (October 23 – November 21)
This month feel full of love and enthusiasm, problem is it needs to be managed properly. Mars and Uranus are square and aspected to Venus in Scorpio. This applies for all of September and so be careful of errant desires. Chasing desires that lead you in the wrong direction. Be mindful of your morality or principles, those are what protect you from inappropriate activity.
Scorpio Buddhists are passionate. This month let things take their own time to manifest. You have vision and enthusiasm, but you may try to move too quickly. Slow down but keep the vision in place.
SAGITTARIUS (November 22 – December 21)
It is a good month to go slowly. The Sun and Mercury are square your sign and so you will most likely feel agitated. The agitation will have aspects of frustration. This feeling will grow as the month continues so be mindful of your motivation. A good remedy to an agitated mind is breathing meditation. This will finish in the last ten days of September. Then you will feel more in control of what you wish to accomplish. The Sun and Mercury will be well aspected to Sagittarius.
Sagittarius Buddhists are inspired individuals. This month it is better to let your motivation be simple and uncomplicated. Slow down and relax. Suffering comes from expectations. The mind with few thoughts or expectations is often a mind with contentment, especially if you maintain a positive and peaceful attitude.
CAPRICORN (December 22 – January 19)
It is good to slow down and be mindful moment by moment. Reason being Pluto and Saturn are in Capricorn. They help you be emotionally reflective. If you have emotional issues then do breathing mindfulness meditation. That is a good meditation in the first weeks of September. This helps broaden your mind and understand you are not the only one with issues and suffering. Sometimes we focus too much on ourselves and thus create more suffering than is necessary. Buddha called this the “Suffering of suffering”.
Capricorn Buddhists reflect and contemplate on decisions. A time of deep wisdom is here, so enter this month by developing a thoughtful attitude. You can be an ocean of wisdom if you let the small boat of liberation sail smoothly across the ocean of samsara.
AQUARIUS (January 20 – February 18)
The month is characterized by enthusiasm and spontaneity. It is a good time to clarify your motivation. The enthusiasm has to go in the right direction and that requires mindfulness. Astrology influences are just that, an influence and stimulation. This month the stimulation is the energy to do things, so the question is: “What do you wish to do that is beneficial and positive? It will be easier in the last ten days of the month as the Sun and Mercury will benefit Mars in Aquarius.
Aquarius Buddhists are sociable beings. This month your vision about life is excitement. Channel that energy in positive directions.
PISCES (February 19 – March 20)
The month starts with vision as the Sun and Mercury will run opposite Neptune in Pisces. You may have some good insights about life and the nature of things. Do quietude meditations to be able to access the profound insights that are available. Have compassion if you see suffering. Have joy if you see positive possibilities. Astrology is only an influence and our mindfulness and attitude about life are the filter of those influences.
Pisces Buddhists are sensitive and introspective. This month your vision is good at the start of the month. Meditate with compassion in the first weeks and then be mindful and contemplative in the last weeks.
