ARIES (March 21 – April 19)
This month you will have lots of stimulation with Mercury, Venus and the Sun effecting you for the last two weeks of May. Those will be beneficial for positive thoughts and feelings. There is another stimulation though during the first two weeks. Jupiter and Pluto are square all month which can effect your body to be agitated and uncomfortable. Astrology is not the cause of illness, but it can be a circumstance to bring a physical problem to the surface. Be mindful of how you feel and take care of things before they become too manifest. The main point, be careful during the first weeks and then focus on a positive Dharma practice more intensely in the last two weeks.
Aries Buddhists love to be motivators. Do more meditation the develops awareness of the body and its workings. There are many types of mindfulness and your body is a good one as it is always there to observe.
TAURUS (April 20 May 20)
This month is your birthday month. Do not forget to thank your mother and father for giving you this rebirth. Even if they were not there for you all the time still, they gave you an opportunity to work out your bad karma and accumulate good karma. You will most likely be full of energy the whole month. Reason being the Sun, Mercury and Uranus will be conjunct at various times. This will be a strong stimulation particularly in the first week of May. Therefore, do things that require the use of your mind and your enthusiasm. Great month to do things.
Taurus Buddhists love to be grounded and practical. This month show your positive qualities and get people motivated to do good works.
GEMINI (May 21 – June 20)
This month is your birthday month. Do not forget to thank your mother and father for giving you this rebirth. Even if they were not there for you all the time still, they gave you an opportunity to work out your bad karma and accumulate good karma. You have The Sun, Mercury and Venus stimulating you all month. Saturn is well aspected to the Sun in the last week of May and so a steady sense of self is available astrologically. Put those influences together and Bodhicitta and you have an excellent mix.
Gemini Buddhists are quick on their intellectual feet. This month meditate on the 5 steps of exchanging self for others and similar meditations of Bodhicitta. They will be more effective for you this May.
CANCER (June 21 – July 22)
This month is wonderful for the first two weeks. The Sun, Uranus and Mercury are all in harmonious aspects to make things powerful and effective. Granted you must have a good attitude to utilize these aspects. Planets are merely environmental influences, you still need to be motivated and have confidence, especially with this type of energy. There are also strong aspects from Jupiter and Pluto during this time. It should not be a problem for you as the supporting aspects are good. Just know your faith and devotion will be strong, adding to the powerful intellect you have during this time.
Cancer Buddhists normally work with feelings. This month you could be a powerhouse of benefit. The power is there, you have lots of feelings, just motivate correctly and everything should be fine.
LEO (July 23 – August 22)
This month there are no planets in Leo, but you have the Sun, Uranus and Mercury all running square your Sun sign in the first weeks of May. Therefore, I would be careful of being in a rush. Slow down and be mindful of what is stimulating you. The aspects make you prone to dashing off in all directions because you did not consider what was the best option first. This particular stimulation is increased as Mars is opposite Leo. So I want to emphasize, go slowly, don’t be impulsive.
Leo Buddhists like to be motivators. This month slow down and checkup what you are planning to do. Mindfulness is always a great asset for good practice.
VIRGO (August 23 – September 22)
This month you have Neptune and Mars stimulating you to do things. You need to be careful though as Neptune is squaring Venus all month. That means you have illusions of pleasure that are unattainable. Make sure you are not exaggerating something attractive into a total fantasy. It is a good transit for the immeasurable thought “May all Sentient Beings have Happiness and it’s causes”. That is a universal wish, not a fantasy. That is Dharma practice.
Virgo Buddhists do things in an orderly manner. This month your energy is released and free. Be mindful to not be so courageous that you hurt yourself. Always balance enthusiasm with wisdom.
LIBRA (September 23 – October 22)
This month it is great for meditation. There are two types of meditation: contemplative and placement. In the last two weeks you will have an astute mind with a Saturn, Venus and Mercury all well aspected to Libra. This is the time to contemplate things. Include in these contemplations some positive feelings of love and compassion. Venus is well aspected for the whole of the month, and those are meditations of love and compassion.
Libra Buddhists keep life in balance. This month do as the explanation above suggests. Couple contemplation with a good focus on positive feelings that enhance the meaning of your life.
SCORPIO (October 23 – November 21)
This month you are a little stressed with things that are out of your immediate reach or control. This is because the Sun, Uranus and Mercury are opposite your sign. Basically, strive for one goal at a time and you should be fine. If you try too hard you may find your stress level gets out of control quickly. It is all made beneficial with mindfulness. Lack mindfulness and even the best of intentions will fail. Utilize mindfulness and even difficult activities can be successful.
Scorpio Buddhists are passionate. This month relax and do not follow your desires. Just be peaceful. It takes clarity of mind to accomplish this so keep your mindfulness in place.
SAGITTARIUS (November 22 – December 21)
This month stimulation is exciting. You have Venus opposite all month and then Mercury and the Sun will join her to increase your energy. Therefore, you may find the little things that bring satisfaction are the most important for May. It is spring so plant some flowers and get your garden organized. You will enjoy it in the summer months. Just be careful of exaggerating your expectations. Having good plans are important, having expectations about your plans is a cause for suffering.
Sagittarius Buddhists are inspired individuals. This month organize your ideas and remember your motivation. No matter what happens in life a good motivation always puts things in a positive perspective. Do exercise intelligence in your activities, a good motivation without a clear mind makes life uncomfortable.
CAPRICORN (December 22 – January 19)
Feelings are important with Jupiter and Pluto in your sign. This month focus on your Guru Yoga or an aspect of devotion. Being devoted to Bodhicitta, the wish to be of relative and ultimate benefit for all sentient beings, is a perfect focus. You can mix this with your Guru Yoga as our teachers are the manifestation of enlightened activity. That is an inspiration for us. Pick an activity that involves your positive feelings and the month should go well.
Capricorn Buddhists reflect and contemplate on decisions. Reflect on Bodhicitta as your feelings are deep and confident. Bodhicitta or altruistic love is always beneficial to add to any activity.
AQUARIUS (January 20 – February 18)
This month Mars and Saturn are moving through Aquarius. That is a stimulation to your willpower and confidence. Mars will move quickly though Aquarius, but Saturn is there for some years to come. Therefore, organize your meditation space in the first weeks and set up a meditative discipline for the last three weeks. We should use the astrological blessings to help our Dharma practice. Astrology is not our practice, Dharma is our practice and astrology can be a beneficial stimulation to energize our Dharma mind.
Aquarius Buddhists are sociable beings. This month reflect on Bodhicitta. Bodhicitta or altruistic love are always beneficial to add to any activity.
PISCES (February 19 – March 20)
This month you may have had an overactive imagination. Reason being you have a Neptune squaring Venus. That effect will last all month as Venus is moving retrograde and square. Be aware of your dreams and visions. Do not let them effect you negatively with superstition or fear. For example, having an inappropriate desire. As you come to the end of May you can direct this influence the good direction. It is beneficial for positive thoughts such as may all sentient beings have happiness and its causes. If there is no vision for our life, we tend to be despondent. A good vision about our life is an asset to utilize.
Pisces Buddhists are sensitive and introspective. This month be active and inspired. Do spend some time thinking about what you want to do first though, that saves time and energy.
